Nutritional Value of Chiles PDF Print E-mail

Dave,
Do you have any information on the fat and sodium contents of common chile peppers? We know that chiles help to speed metabolism, burn fat and offset cholesterol in some cases, but haven’t found any specific info regarding the amount of fat that chiles typically contain. We are curious about the sodium levels as well.
Thanks in advance,
Tom and Matt

Hello Tom and Matt:
For every 100 grams of chile pepper, there is a mere two tenths of a gram of fat and 3.5 to 3.7 milligrams of sodium. Both are extremely low amounts.
