Q: Hi Dr. BBQ, Just wondering if quila sawdust would be suitable for smoking. I've done a few trials with different hardwoods, but have an unlimited supply of quila if it’s suitable. Generally speaking, it would work: --If it is a fruit tree --If it is a hardwood, like oak --If is not a conifer, like pine --If it does not have obnoxious resins, like eucalyptus The only way to really know is to give it a try and see what happens. --Dr. BBQ
