Is there a real smoker box that coverts your gas grill to a wood-fire smoker that really works?

Hi Sam,

They all work ok, but I haven"t found one that works great. You have to keep the flame hot enough to burn the chips, and that usually results in too high of a cooking temp. There are some new high end units that have a drawer for the wood chips that places them directly over a burner. Seems like a good idea but I haven"t tried one yet. A gas grill is just a different piece of equipment than a smoker, and will probably never function as well as the real thing.
