The magazine is a joint venture between Sunbelt Shows, Inc. of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Pioneer Communications, Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa. Sunbelt Shows, in business since 1987, is producer of the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show and the Scovie Awards Competition, and is the publisher of this SuperSite. Pioneer Communications is the publisher of nine other magazines. The publisher of the magazine is Rick Thomas, and the editor is Dave DeWitt, aka "The Pope of Peppers" and the author of more than 30 books on the topics of chile peppers and spicy food.

magazine is published bimonthly and has a growing
