Average Sale per Customer:
$10-20

Initial Capital Outlay:
Average: $20,000-$25,000
Highest: $30,000 Lowest: $4,000

Years in Business:
1 year or less: 22%
1.5-5 years: 72%
more than 25 years: 6%

Business Hours:
Most hot shops surveyed are open 55 hours a week, seven days a week, with adjustments for holidays and vacation seasons.

Customer Demographics:
Average age range: 30-50
Equal number of males and females
Males looking for heat
Females looking for flavor


Comments

Most hot shop owners feel that the Fiery Foods Industry is going to continue to grow as more consumers recognize the health benefits and unique flavor profiles of hot and spicy products.
